Flo TV – portable TV almost anywhere.

My suspicions are coming true.  Network TV is dying.  Cable TV is dying.  Nielson ratings mean nothing.  Its about content on demand at your choosing.

Flo TV is a subscription service.   This is the future of your entertainment consumption.  (see Demo)

I read some reviews and there are some pros and cons.  Most people reported that the quality of the display/touch screen was good and watching the shows was great.  Not everyone was pleased with the $14.99 monthly price for the lack of programming.  The device does NOT use cell service but rather wireless service.  You will need to be in range of an open wireless signal (coffee shop, camping in your own back yard).

Editorial:  I will say that this device is an early generation that will continue to evolve and become a better product.  I don’t foresee this to be a LaserDisk technology and die off.  Maybe it will offer a connection that can be piggybacked on your cell phone data stream.  I didn’t see that if offered a connection to a TV which would make it much more attractive to behave like a portable HULU or TIVO device.
